We did have to buy an AUX plug (no idea what to call it) so it would be compatible with my piano. But, it was a fantastic purchase without breaking the bank!

Slightly muddy sounding, and sound you would expect from a lesser cost headphone. Bass is 6/10 and Treble is 6/10. It will by no means impress you. The ear cushions are soft versus the JVC headphones in this price range. Time will tell how long these last. Something tells me you could find a better value and sound out there even in this price range since headphones at this price level is a very competitive market, particularly on Amazon.
