Q:I do not want to record. I want to watch vhs tapes playing from my vcr using my dell windows laptop as monitor.. Will this do it?
A:Yes, this works fine for that, but you’ll need an app to show the video full screen (I use my video editor).
Q:I want to convert vhs home movies to digital files on my hp windows laptop. will this do that? do i need to buy any additional devices/ plugs?
A:You need a VCR to play the VHS tape and RCA cords. Plugs into USB on your computer. Have a lot of hard disc space.
Q:Will this work with beta?
A:It will work with any device with rca jack or s-video video output.
Q:Does it allow conversion of Sony camcorder tapes?
A:If the camcorder has audio / video cables like this picture (Red, Yellow, White) then you’re golden.
Q:Can i use this to convert dvds to a digital format?
A:Yes, it could convert the video from VHS, VCR, DVD to digital format via RCA or S-video cable.
